A golden-eyed wolf peers out from an unusual knife shaped bolo tie. The water buffalo horn lends itself well to ‘reverse’ scrimshaw and is complimented by the red spacer that adds just the right amount of flair. This scrimshaw etching is a well-known canid – in white-on-black except for his golden-yellow eyes. Traditionally scrimshaw is inked with black on a white canvas of ivory or bone, but here the water buffalo horn provides the perfect black canvas.
The knife blade itself is stainless steel, with a smooth blade bevel without a sharp edge, thus not a functional knife and eliminating possible cutting accidents. The 6-ply leather cord is a luxurious 42” in length and is long enough to be appropriate for any big or tall person. The stainless steel tension bolo back allows for ease in sliding the bolo up and down and adjusting securely for a comfortable fit. The bolo tips are brass bullet casings and make the perfect finish to this most extraordinary tie.
