This Ray Beers “Palm Hunter” sports a drop tip blade with a deep belly and a stubby blade. In mint condition, this 8.125-inch knife has a full tang 3.625 inch blade of 440C stainless steel, polished to a mirror shine. The handle is 4.5 inches long and made of Westinghouse paper micarta with a rich golden hue. The unique shape is a Ray Beers staple and fits beautifully in the hand. This shorter blade makes this knife very versatile for use or carry. These knives include full-grain cowhide sheaths, hand constructed by the maker. These knives are numbered 5 & 6 of a limited ten knife set.
Sadly, Mr. Beers passed away in 2021. This means that these two knives are likely to be your only opportunity to own a stunning piece of craftsmanship by a legendary knifemaker.
These knives are excellent candidates for artistic embellishment. Contact me today and we can discuss how to make this uncommon knife a once in a lifetime collectable. Check out my Gallery page for inspiration!
