Description
This one-of-a kind memento case is one of my more remarkable scrimshaw pieces. I repurposed it from an antique watch. The watch face and back was replaced with ivory. Then I etched and inked a delicate swallowtail butterfly and flower on one side, and on the reverse a beautiful hummingbird enjoying the nectar of colorful lupines.
The gold plate has an aged patina – adding to its charm. Inside there is enough room to hold a small sentimental treasure, and the felt lining will keep it safe and protected.
The case is 1 ¼’ diameter, ¾” thick, and 2 ¼” in length. The red burl stand is included so you can show off your unique piece. The case and stand come packaged in a gift box.
