Look carefully and you will find little treasures hidden in this gnarly old tree. An owl is in the branches, a rabbit is enjoying the shade, a grasshopper sits among the roots, and a dragonfly is whizzing by. There is even a snake and a small critter’s face peering out from the knot hole.
The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground – trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:9). Trees are one of the most useful and diverse plants on this planet. They provide safety, housing and food for animals, insects, birds, and even people.
