Description
Black Panther/Palm Hunter knife, featuring hand-etched scrimshaw signed by the artist. The knife depicts a wily panther surrounded by forest. The bolster engraving was beautifully executed by the artist’s son, Nick Palencsar (Fray and Son Engraving), marking the first of many collaborations between the mother and son. You can view the second knife collaborative here. These two knives will certainly add class to any knife collection.
Make sure to remember the following details:
The Palm Hunter, made by Ray Beers, features a drop-point blade with a deep belly and a stubby blade. This knife is in mint condition and measures 8.125 inches in total. It boasts a full tang 3.625-inch blade made of 440C stainless steel, polished to a mirror shine. The handle is 4.5 inches long and constructed of Westinghouse paper micarta with a rich golden hue. The unique shape, a signature of Ray Beers, fits beautifully in the hand. It’s a very versatile knife for everyday use or carry, and the artistic design elevates it to a whole new level! Additionally, these knives come with full-grain cowhide sheaths, handcrafted by the maker.
Sadly, Mr. Beers passed away in 2021. This means that this is your only opportunity to own a stunning piece of craftsmanship and artistic collaboration by a legendary knifemaker, a scrimshander, and an engraver. This Black Panther/ Palm Hunter is definitely one of a kind.
